KUALA LUMPUR: The brutal murder of 16-year-old student Irene Sofiya in Batu Pahat, Johor, has deeply moved TV presenter Uyaina Arshad.

The tragic attack—in which three teenage boys have been detained—has led Uyaina, 34, to question the level of safety in schools today.

As a mother of three young boys, she also expressed deep worry over whether parents are doing enough to raise compassionate and respectful sons.

"As a mother of three young boys, I am frightened," she shared.

"Not just about something happening to my own children, but about whether I am raising sons who know how to protect others and avoid causing harm."
