SARATOK (Oct 2): A near collision in Kampung Alit on the Roban-Kabong road on Sept 28 resulted in a road rage incident where the enraged driver struck a motorcyclist with an iron rod.
Police arrested the 38-year-old suspect after receiving a report from the victim and also seized a 37cm-long iron rod believed to have been used in the attack.
Saratok police chief DSP Mathew Manggie said the victim was riding towards Roban when a compact car travelling in the opposite direction allegedly entered his path and nearly collided with him.
“The suspect then stopped his car, took an iron rod from the vehicle and struck the complainant,” he said in a statement.
