KUCHING (Oct 2): Sibu, Sarikei, and Mukah exited the ‘Good’ zone at 8am on Friday after Air Pollutant Index (API) readings in the areas rose to 60, 57, and 54 respectively.
According to the Natural Resources and Environment Board’s API Status for Sarawak, Sibu, Sarikei, and Mukah had recorded API levels of 46, 49, and 49 respectively at 4pm the previous day.
Bario was the sole area to show a significant improvement in air quality at 8am when the API reading dropped 33 points to 20 from the 4pm reading of 53.
Industrial Training Institute (ILP) Miri, Miri, Lawas, and Limbang continued to record good air quality.
