LIMBANG (Oct 2): The Functional Literacy Education (PLF) Class Graduation Programme plays an important role in equipping adults and rural communities with basic skills to improve their daily lives and livelihoods.

Batu Danau assemblyman Dato Paulus Palu Gumbang said the government continued to provide educational infrastructure and programmes to strengthen access to education, particularly in rural areas.

He said the programme was a valuable effort to equip participants with practical knowledge and skills while encouraging them to contribute to their families and communities.

“Functional literacy education is the practical teaching of reading, writing, math, and critical thinking skills so people can use them to handle real-life daily tasks and jobs,” he said during the closing ceremony of the Functional Literacy Education (PLF) Class Graduation Programme at Rumah Menuang Baru Lubai Tengah recently.
