Peter says the authorities should clarify the reasons for the decision and the standard operating procedures involved.
MIRI (Oct 2): Activist Peter John Jaban has called on Sarawak immigration authorities to explain the denial of entry to Sahabat Alam Malaysia (SAM) president Meenakshi Raman on Sept 29.
Peter, who is deputy president of the Global Human Rights Federation (Malaysia), said the authorities should clarify the reasons for the decision and the standard operating procedures involved.
He said Sarawak’s immigration powers should be exercised transparently and in accordance with the law.
