PETALING JAYA: Bersatu assemblyman Nurul Syazwani Noh claims to be unaware of the party's plans to ink a confidence and supply agreement with the Pakatan Harapan-led Selangor government.

Syazwani, widely seen as not aligned with the current Bersatu leadership, said she was caught off guard to learn that negotiations with PH were at the final stages and that the pact would be signed before the state budget is tabled.

The Permatang assemblyman told FMT that all Bersatu assemblymen should have been consulted beforehand.

This is especially true if the deal would bind them in terms of political commitments, including supporting the state government or budget, she said.
