KUALA LUMPUR: Men's doubles shuttler Tee Kai Wun is hoping to steer his partnership with Man Wei Chong back into the world's top 10, although he admits time is running out this season.
The pair, who have slid to world No. 12, will reunite at next week's Denmark Open after Kai Wun was temporarily partnered with Aaron Chia for the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games.
With only six tournaments in the Super 500-750 range remaining this year, Kai Wun acknowledged that reclaiming their place among the world's elite would take time after missing several competitions.
"We hope to get back into the top 10. We were usually in the top 10 or top eight, but it will take time because we missed many tournaments," said Kai Wun after a training session at Academy Badminton Malaysia on Friday.
