MELAKA: The public have been advised against sharing social media content that insults, provokes or incites hostility over religion, race and the royal institution (3R), and instead to report such content to the authorities for further action.
Communications Minister Datuk Seri Fahmi Fadzil said resharing such content would only widen its reach, including by increasing its view count on social media.
"Do not help spread it, do not reshare it, do not give it views. File a police report or lodge a complaint with the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC).
"Both responsible agencies will take immediate action," he told reporters after officiating at the Madani Kita Programme (PMK) 2026 with the Paya Rumput@Tangga Batu community at the Krubong People's Housing Project (PPR) here today.
