KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 11 (Bernama) -- Malaysia experienced mixed fortunes at the Arctic Open 2026 in Vantaa, Finland, on Saturday as newly formed men’s doubles pair Aaron Tai-Yap Roy King stormed into the final while professional men’s singles player Lee Zii Jia bowed out in the semi-finals.

Aaron and Roy King continued their impressive debut run at the Super 500 tournament, dispatching Danish duo Christian Faust Kjær-Rasmus Kjær in straight games, 21-14, 21-16 in just 37 minutes.

However, it was the end of the road for Zii Jia, who fell short in a three-game thriller against Denmark's fourth seed, Anders Antonsen.

The world number 56 Malaysian put up a resilient fight before losing 11-21, 21-15, 16-21 to the world number six.
