Ampang Jaya police chief Khairul Anuar Khalid said police found a parang, a sickle and tools to steal cables, such as a manhole cover opener in the pickup truck the suspects were in. “Also seized are what we believe to be drugs,” he said in a statement.
Video clips showing the chase have been circulating on social media. One video depicts two men leaving an orange pickup truck and attempting to flee on foot in separate directions. Two policemen and a member of the public were filmed giving chase.
