(Wikipedia pic)GEORGE TOWN: A stretch of the rightmost lanes of the Jelutong coastal highway near the Light Waterfront will be closed from Oct 12 to Feb 28 for the construction of an elevated U-turn to complement the Air Itam bypass.
The closure would affect the median-side rightmost lanes of the George Town-bound and Bayan Lepas-bound carriageways of the Tun Dr Lim Chong Eu Expressway, said developer IJM Land Bhd.
The initial phase of construction for the elevated U-turn was completed last month. The elevated U-turn is expected to improve road connectivity and traffic flow along the coastal highway.
