(Facebook pic)JOHOR BAHRU: The Johor state education department will issue daily notifications on school closures due to the haze, despite the state government having announced a five-day extension yesterday, an executive councillor said today.
Dr Muhammad Naqib Md Ghazali said the department was required under administrative procedures to provide daily updates, subject to directives and protocols set by the education ministry.
“I hope all parties understand that these daily notifications are part of the administrative procedures the department must comply with, and do not conflict with the state government’s announcement,” he said in a social media post today.
