PUTRAJAYA: A total of 155 Fire and Rescue Department personnel and 12 assets have been mobilised to ensure emergency and rescue preparedness throughout the Gulf Air Bahrain Formula 1 (F1) Grand Prix at the Sepang International Circuit (SIC).
In a statement, the department said the deployment would cover the three-day event from today until Oct 4, with personnel and assets stationed at strategic locations to ensure emergencies could be handled swiftly and effectively.
"Among the assets deployed are a Fire Rescue Tender (FRT), two Compact Fire Rescue Tenders (CFRT), a 10,000-litre water tanker, three Emergency Medical Rescue Services (EMRS) ambulances and four department buses.
"An A109E helicopter has also been stationed at SIC to support monitoring, emergency response and rescue operations when required," it said.
