KUALA LUMPUR: Muar member of parliament Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman and artiste Bella Astillah said the late Tun Dr Siti Hasmah Mohd Ali was cheerful and in high spirits when they last met her, three days before her death.
Syed Saddiq said there was nothing unusual about the former prime minister's wife during their final meeting, which lasted more than two hours, and that she had even shared how much she was looking forward to attending their wedding.
He said the meeting would remain one of their most cherished memories.
"During that meeting, she was in very high spirits," he said when met at a press conference on their upcoming wedding here this afternoon.
Syed Saddiq said Siti Hasmah also offered advice on married life, particularly on the importance of compromise and tolerance between partners.
