While PAS has openly acknowledged that Umno-BN will lead Malacca despite their electoral cooperation ahead of the upcoming state election, plans to partner up in the four PAS-held states have also begun to take shape.

PAS assistant secretary-general Syahir Sulaiman said that although it was still too early and no formal discussions had taken place, there are early indications from both Umno and PAS of potential cooperation in Kelantan, Terengganu, Kedah and Perlis, collectively known as the SG4.

This came after PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang on Saturday spoke about cooperation with BN in Malacca and the Islamist party's acceptance that while it would not helm the state, it would be part of the state government, should they win.
