KUALA LUMPUR: The Selangor Palace administration has received reports of an individual impersonating the Raja Muda's private bodyguard to gain the public's trust in land and luxury car deals.

In a statement, the palace administration said police reports had been lodged against the individual, who allegedly used the purported position to persuade members of the public to enter into land and luxury car transactions for personal gain.

"The Selangor Palace administration views this matter seriously and has referred the case to the police for a thorough, fair and transparent investigation," it said.

It added that the palace administration would not protect anyone found to be involved in the case.
