PETALING JAYA: Umno leaders have dismissed DAP secretary-general Loke Siew Fook’s claim that the Malay unity narrative promoted by Umno and PAS will not last.
Umno Supreme Council member Nur Jazlan Mohamed said political calculations were constantly changing according to voter sentiment and trends, pointing to a global shift towards identity and religious politics.
"As political trends shift towards identity and religious politics, Pakatan Harapan and DAP will face difficulties expanding their support among voters of other races," he said.
