BN chairman Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said no decision had been made on whether PAS would contest under the BN logo, while BN remained open to PAS using its own symbol.

SHAH ALAM: Barisan Nasional has almost completed negotiations with potential partners for the Melaka election and will make known the outcome after the election date is announced this week, BN chairman Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said.

Zahid, who is also Umno president, said talks with the "parties concerned", an apparent reference to PAS and Pakatan Harapan, were about "95% complete".

"We will wait for the election date announcement on Oct 7. After that, we will announce which coalition we will work with or reach an understanding with for the Melaka election," he told reporters after an event at Universiti Teknologi Mara here.
