PETALING JAYA: Bersatu will announce its line-up for the Melaka election on Oct 29, the same day Perikatan Nasional is scheduled to unveil its candidates, amid a dispute between the party and the coalition.
Bersatu president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, however, did not say whether the party would contest the election on its own or enter into an electoral pact with other parties or coalitions, amid speculation of possible cooperation between Bersatu and Pakatan Harapan for the Nov 14 state election.
He also did not reveal the number of state seats Bersatu would contest.
"I don't want to announce it. This will be announced on the 29th. Firstly, we are indeed participating," he told reporters after the party's Supreme Council meeting.
