PUTRAJAYA: The Federal Court today allowed former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak to attend proceedings in his bid to reinstate a RM1.9 million civil suit against former attorney-general Tan Sri Tommy Thomas.
A three-member bench chaired by Chief Judge of Malaya Datuk Seri Hashim Hamzah issued an order to produce (OTP) directing the prison authorities to bring Najib to court for the proceedings.
The order was granted following an application by Najib's lawyer, S. Bala Ravi.
It will allow Najib, 72, to attend the hearing of his application for leave to appeal, as well as the substantive appeal should leave be granted.
