KUALA LUMPUR: Police have ruled out a kidnapping claim by a restaurant waiter in Bangi Avenue after closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage showed him entering a car voluntarily.
Kajang district police chief Assistant Commissioner Naazron Abdul Yusof said the man, in his 20s, lodged a report at 5.16am yesterday, claiming he had been forced into the back of a silver Perodua Axia at 12.40am.
He alleged that the four men blindfolded him, tied his hands, assaulted him and threatened him while demanding money from his acquaintances.
The victim also reported losing about RM1,100 in cash, a mobile phone, a bag and several documents.
