KUALA LUMPUR: A Singapore Airlines (SIA) flight aborted its landing attempt at Perth Airport due to strong winds before landing safely on its second attempt on Oct 31.
A video posted on Facebook by Chris Perry showed flight SQ213, travelling from Singapore to Perth, tilting sharply to the right as it approached the runway, with its right wing appearing close to the ground, before climbing away.
Perry, whose sister was on board, said strong winds had forced the aircraft to "go round again", adding that the second landing attempt was successful.
SIA, responding to queries from AsiaOne, confirmed that the aircraft encountered strong winds during its approach, prompting the pilots to perform a go-around.
