(Facebook pic)PETALING JAYA: Sabah police have crippled an armed syndicate linked to 17 cases of gang robbery and break-ins into luxury houses, involving RM304,500 in losses across several districts since early this year, says state police commissioner Jauteh Dikun.

He said the syndicate was crippled through two special operations – Op Casa and Op Pintu – conducted after a special task force was formed in September to investigate two armed robberies reported in Kota Kinabalu in August.

Six men aged between 30 and 43, with a combined record of 75 criminal and drug-related cases, were detained. Police are also hunting several other suspects who remain at large.
