Police with the three Myanmar children at the magistrate's court in Bukit Mertajam, where they were charged with criminal intimidation of an elderly woman.PETALING JAYA: Three Myanmar children have been released on bail after the High Court reversed a magistrate's decision earlier today to deny them bail after they were charged with criminal intimidation of a senior citizen.

Bar Council president Anand Raj said he was relieved to learn that the High Court in Butterworth had intervened. “We are monitoring developments,” he told FMT, adding that the Bar was initially shocked to hear that the three boys, aged between 11 and 12, had been denied bail.

No other details were available. It is understood the Bar will provide more details on the case next week.
