National badminton legend Lee Chong Wei says his involvement with BAM after hanging up his racket in 2019 was driven by the desire to repay the services of the governing body. (Bernama pic)PETALING JAYA: National badminton legend Lee Chong Wei says that serving as chairman of the Badminton Association of Malaysia's (BAM) performance committee has not been an easy responsibility, especially in making decisions involving players from a different generation.
Chong Wei, who was appointed to the position on Oct 18 last year, said the difference between current players and those of his generation made it difficult to bring about changes, Bernama reported.
Instead, he said, it required him to continue learning and adapting to the challenges he faced.
