PUTRAJAYA: The MyJPJ mobile application will be enhanced next month as part of efforts to reduce the Road Transport Department's (RTD) reliance on third-party agents for transactions.

Transport Minister Anthony Loke said the initiative aims to transform RTD's digital delivery while making its services more accessible to all users, including foreigners.

He said that a rapid surge in transactions conducted through the application prompted the ministry to continuously upgrade its functionality and security measures.

"So, by next month, more features will be introduced to the MyJPJ app," he told a press conference.

"Eventually, we hope more people will use MyJPJ directly for RTD-related services and not have to go through any third party. This is our aim. However, in order to do that, we need to prepare," he said.
