MELAKA, Nov 2 — Perikatan Nasional (PN) was not involved in negotiations for the confidence-and-supply agreement (CSA) signed by six Bersatu MPs with the federal government and will not enter such a deal merely to secure constituency allocations, its secretary-general Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan said.

Utusan Malaysia reported today that Takiyuddin said the agreement was a decision by the lawmakers involved and did not represent PN’s official position as an opposition bloc.

“The CSA was their own choice as MPs. Coincidentally, those who joined the CSA are from groups that are not actively involved in PN, namely Bersatu itself, former Bersatu members who previously switched parties, and Muda,” he told Utusan Malaysia.
