In a Facebook post, Nizar said his mother had been warded in the intensive care unit. No other details were provided.
"I ask friends, relatives and acquaintances to pray for my mother. She remains in critical condition," he said.
Nizar, the eldest son of former prime minister Najib Razak, is the Peramu Jaya assemblyman.
