Anwar says questions on the rationalisation exercise at Utusan Malaysia and Kosmo! publisher Media Mulia should be directed to the company, not the government.
PETALING JAYA: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said the government had previously stepped in to rescue the publisher of Utusan Malaysia and Kosmo! when the company faced operational difficulties.
As such, he said questions over the latest move to place about 100 employees on paid leave should be directed to Media Mulia Sdn Bhd, the publisher of both newspapers.
“We have rescued it once before,” he told reporters after attending the 2026 World Town Planning Day celebration and the launch of the Fifth National Physical Plan (RFN5) and Third National Urbanisation Policy (DPN3) here today.
