KUALA LUMPUR: The government has raised the National Cyber Threat Level (NCTL) from low to moderate as a precautionary measure in response to current security developments.
The National Security Council (NSC) said the move was aimed at ensuring the country's essential services remained protected against potential disruptions.
It said the National Cyber Security Agency (Nacsa) held a meeting with sector leads and National Critical Information Infrastructure (NCII) entities this morning to strengthen preparedness and coordination across sectors.
"The meeting outlined nine cybersecurity preparedness measures for all NCII entities, including 24-hour monitoring, system patching, multi-factor authentication and updates to their Service Continuity Plans.
