Initial laboratory tests found water content below 0.05% in 43 RON95 samples, while the remaining samples undergo analysis, says Domestic Trade Minister Armizan.

KUALA LUMPUR: Initial laboratory tests on 43 samples of RON95 petrol collected from several petrol stations found water content below the minimum detectable limit, said Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Minister Datuk Armizan Mohd Ali.

He said a preliminary report dated Oct 29 by the Department of Chemistry Malaysia found that all 43 samples contained less than 0.05% water.

“This means the water content was below the minimum detectable limit of the reportable value,” he told the Dewan Rakyat today.
