SHAH ALAM: Singer Zaki Yamani never expected to have a fan base strong enough to vote for him at Anugerah Melodi Terhangat (AMT) 2026.
Zaki, whose real name is Ahmad Zaki Yamani Jamal Ubaidillah, 20, said the overwhelming support touched his heart, even as he admits feeling the weight of their expectations.
"My fans have been so supportive. I really didn't expect it, and I don't want to let them down," he told Berita Harian.
While Zaki isn't sure of the exact number of votes he has received, he is well aware of his fans' daily dedication—with some even subscribing to the Tonton streaming package to secure extra votes for him.
"I don't know the full count yet, but I know my supporters are voting for me every single day," he said.
