KUALA LUMPUR: A Deepavali video featuring Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and content creator Devaraj David has been widely shared on social media.
Anwar appears in the clip, titled "Bila Mak Suruh Balik Kampung" (When Mother Asks You to Return Home), urging a young man to return to his hometown for Deepavali.
In the video, Devaraj plays a young man who gives various excuses over the phone to avoid going home for the festival, including family nagging and car problems.
Anwar then steps out of a vehicle in traditional attire and puts on dark sunglasses, in a nod to Indian cinema superstar Rajinikanth.
