PUTRAJAYA: Transport Minister Anthony Loke has announced his resignation with immediate effect following former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak's arrival at his residence to serve the remainder of his sentence under house arrest.
The announcement was made at a press conference at the Transport Ministry (MOT) here earlier today.
Loke said he had submitted his resignation letter to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim on Sept 28 following the Pardons Board's decision allowing Najib to serve the remainder of his sentence under house arrest.
He said his resignation reflected DAP's position on the decision.
