Road safety advocate Tan Sri Lee Lam Thye has called on Malaysians to adopt the “Vision Zero” mindset to eliminate accidents and fatalities as an estimated 3.28 million vehicles hit major highways daily for Deepavali.
PETALING JAYA: Road safety advocate Tan Sri Lee Lam Thye has urged Malaysians to embrace the “Vision Zero” approach to road safety during the Deepavali holidays, calling for a collective effort to prevent accidents and fatalities as millions of motorists take to the roads.
Lee said the anticipated surge in traffic during the festive period made it essential for motorists to remain vigilant, practise responsible driving and prioritise safety throughout their journeys.
“I would like to call on all Malaysians to do their part to contribute towards zero road traffic accidents during this period. This is what I would call Vision Zero,” he told theSun.
