KUALA LUMPUR: The two Special Branch policemen allegedly assaulted by Malaysia Border Control and Protection Agency (MCBA) director-general Datuk Seri Suhaily Mohd Zain at KLIA have denied claims that they were acting as touts or involved in 'counter setting'.
Their lawyers, Kamal Hisham & Associates, said any such allegation must be supported by evidence and should not be used to divert attention from the alleged assault involving lance corporals Muhammad Ekmal Sofwan Driman and Mohammad Faiz Muhamad.
The firm said the two policemen were carrying out official duties at KLIA1 when the alleged incident took place on Sept 28.
It claimed that both men were physically assaulted by Suhaily in a public area, causing them injuries and affecting their dignity as civil servants carrying out their duties.
