BATU PAHAT: Two 22-year-old women were burnt to death when their car caught fire after colliding with a lorry at Batu 1, Jalan Yong Peng-Ayer Hitam, this afternoon.
The victims were identified as Perodua Myvi driver Siti Nur Batrisya Mohd Khalid and her front-seat passenger, Siti Nurmaisarah Abd Jalil.
Ayer Hitam Fire and Rescue Station operations commander Mohd Shamin Mohamed Salikin said the station received an emergency call at 4.21pm, and a team arrived at the scene four minutes later.
He said firefighters found the car about 80 per cent burnt, with both victims trapped in the driver's seat and front passenger seat.
