KUALA LUMPUR: The BA of Malaysia's latest men's doubles scratch pair, Aaron Tai-Yap Roy King, completed their sensational World Tour debut by capturing the Arctic Open title in Vantaa, Finland, on Sunday.
Aaron-Roy King were in their element as they secured a 21-19, 21-19 win over Taiwan's world No. 60 Lai Po Yu-Tsai Fu Cheng in the final.
The duo became the second Malaysian men's pair in the post-Covid-19 era to capture the title, following world No. 6 Goh Sze Fei-Nur Izzuddin Rumsani's success in 2024.
Aaron-Roy King earned US$39,500 (RM161,450) while Lai Po Yu-Tsai Fu Cheng settled for US$19,000 as runners-up in the Super 500 tournament.
