Green lights illuminate Sibu Hospital in tribute to first solid organ donor since 2019

SIBU (Oct 2): Green lights illuminated Sibu Hospital on Thursday night in tribute to the hospital’s first solid organ donor in seven years.

The deceased female teacher, identified only as Madam SK, donated her kidneys and corneas.

“Hospital Sibu honours the memory of Madam SK – a loving wife, caring mother, and lifelong educator whose final act was one of supreme selflessness,” the hospital said on Facebook.

“By becoming an organ donor, Madam SK donated her kidneys and corneas, saving the lives and restoring the vision of complete strangers. This selfless act marks the first solid organ donation at Hospital Sibu since 2019.”
