KLSCM organiser Dirigo said that due to the haze situation, it would make a final decision on the event today. They’ve just announced that all main categories – full marathon, half marathon, 10KM, 5KM – will proceed as planned.
However, the Kids Dash run scheduled for tomorrow has been dropped “in the best interest of the children”. Parents of Kids Dash participants can collect their child’s entitlements at the info counter at Dataran Merdeka tomorrow from 8am to 12pm. Remember to bring the bib.
“To all runners: you know your body best. If you have underlying health issues, please weigh your options carefully before deciding to run. We will continue to monitor conditions throughout Saturday and hope for favourable weather on Sunday,” the company said in a statement.
