Government spokesman Fahmi Fadzil said Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim briefed the Cabinet today on his presentation of the proposed constitutional amendments to the Conference of Rulers, and the feedback they gave.PETALING JAYA: Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has directed law and institutional reform minister Azalina Othman Said to hold further consultations on bills to limit the prime minister’s tenure, and separate the roles of the attorney-general and public prosecutor, following feedback from the Conference of Rulers.

Government spokesman Fahmi Fadzil said Azalina would engage with the parliamentary special select committee involved in drafting the constitutional amendments.

Fahmi, who is also the communications minister, said Anwar briefed the Cabinet today on his presentation of the bills to the rulers and the feedback received.
