KLUANG: A married couple were killed and their two daughters seriously injured after they lost control of their car on a slippery road caused by rain yesterday.
Kluang police chief Assistant Commissioner Bahrin Mohd Noh said the Hyundai Matrix they were travelling in entered the opposite lane before colliding with a lorry.
"The accident occurred at 5pm at KM72.5 of Jalan Batu Pahat-Mersing and involved a car and a lorry.
"Initial investigations found that the lorry, driven by a 34-year-old man from Kluang, was heading towards Kahang.
"Upon reaching the scene, they lost control of their car before entering the opposite lane," he said in a statement.
