BATU PAHAT: A 16-year-old Form Four student was found dead with injuries at a secondary school in Yong Peng here this afternoon, in what is suspected to be a murder.
The victim was found by her grandmother, who went to the school after becoming concerned when her granddaughter had not returned home by about 5.30pm.
According to a source, the victim lived with her grandmother after her mother died, while her father worked in Kuala Lumpur.
The source said the grandmother rushed to the school to look for her before finding the girl lying weak and unresponsive.
"Dried blood was found on the victim's body, along with bruises that appeared to be from being beaten. A broken flowerpot was also found near the victim," the source said.
