(File pic)PETALING JAYA: A total of 251 cases of sexual offences involving students from higher education institutions were reported from January to August this year, says deputy women, family and community development minister Lim Hui Ying.
She said these statistics obtained from the police indicate that safety in educational settings requires serious attention and continuous action, Berita Harian reported.
"In addressing this issue, we must know how to protect ourselves and also how to help others," she was quoted as saying.
