KUALA LUMPUR: Aprilia Racing chief executive officer Massimo Rivola admitted that it will be difficult for Jorge Martin to be fit in time to race at the Petronas Grand Prix of Malaysia, which starts on Friday.
Martin crashed during the sprint race at Phillip Island on Saturday while duelling with Marc Marquez, who has now overtaken him at the top of the premier-class standings.
The crash saw Martin suffering a non-displaced fracture of the distal radius though he has opted not to return to Spain for treatment.
Rivola said he nevertheless remains hopeful of seeing Martin make the trip to Sepang.
