(EPA Images pic)LONDON: Sergio Garcia will target an 11th Ryder Cup appearance in Ireland next year after he became the latest leading golfer to confirm he was leaving the struggling LIV Golf circuit.
The breakaway league is attempting to relaunch after filing for bankruptcy protection.
But that has not stopped several players from announcing their intention to return to the established US PGA and European circuits.
European players such as Garcia have also been told signing with the new-look LIV will make them ineligible for European tour membership and so rule them out of the Ryder Cup - the biennial team event against the United States.
