KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk James Selvaraj has urged the BA of Malaysia (BAM) to conduct a comprehensive review of its players and coaches following the national shuttlers' disappointing Asian Games campaign.
Malaysia returned from Aichi-Nagoya with only a women's doubles bronze through Pearly Tan–M Thinaah, falling short of the official target of one silver and one bronze.
James said coaches must face the same scrutiny as players, with BAM needing to identify why the support provided had failed to produce the expected results.
"BAM now have to do a total review of all the coaches and players," he said
"What is happening? Why are they not performing?"
