KUCHING (Nov 2): The Sarawak government plans to provide quality affordable homes priced at around RM150,000, along with discount schemes to ease the financial burden on buyers, said caretaker Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas.

He said the initiative was part of broader efforts to improve living standards, promote home ownership and narrow the development gap between urban and rural areas.

Uggah said the Land Custody and Development Authority (LCDA) played an important role in driving rural development transformation through projects that could stimulate economic growth and improve community well-being.
