MELAKA: From concerns over termite-infested homes to everyday neighbourhood issues, Datuk Rais Yasin is combining face-to-face engagement with social media to hear directly from constituents in Sungai Udang.
Through his "two-in-one" campaigning approach, the Barisan Nasional candidate for the Sungai Udang seat combines house-to-house visits and walkabouts with live-streaming sessions on social media, allowing more residents to raise questions and share their concerns.
He said the approach enabled him to reach people who might not have the opportunity to meet him in person, while giving him a platform to explain state government initiatives to a wider audience.
"Some people have asked about homes affected by termites. As a former state housing and local government executive councillor, I share explanations based on my experience when I held the portfolio.
