PETALING JAYA: Sunway Construction Group Bhd (SunCon) has secured a RM1.739 billion contract to construct a hyperscale data centre in Bandar Serendah, Selangor, from an international hyperscaler.
Its wholly-owned subsidiary, Sunway Construction Sdn Bhd, entered into the construction agreement with the unnamed client today.
The build-only contract covers the construction and completion of the data centre’s core and shell structures, campus infrastructure, as well as mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) fit-out works.
Construction is scheduled to commence in Q4’26, with completion targeted for Q4’28.
